The Association&#8217;s aim is to foster and encourage sound ecological practices of bushland management, and to promote the study and practice of Bush Regeneration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/glyphosateresistance.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Australian Glyphosate Sustainability Working Group<\/strong><\/a><br>A collaborative initiative involving research, industry and extension representatives with the purpose of promoting the sustainable use of the herbicide glyphosate in Australian agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/avh.ala.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Australia&#8217;s Virtual Herbarium<\/strong><\/a><br>Provides access to information held in Australian herbaria collections. Australia\u2019s major state and territory herbaria house over six million plant, algae and fungi specimens. The&nbsp;data stored with these specimens provides the most complete picture of the distribution of Australia\u2019s flora to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.croplife.org\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CropLife International<\/strong><\/a><br>CropLife International is a global federation representing the plant science industry. On the industry\u2019s behalf, we address international developments in crop protection and agricultural biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nla.gov.au\/nla.cat-vn7131702\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Direct Drilling Oral History Project<\/strong><\/a><br>&nbsp;This project examined the development and early introduction of Direct Drilling in the winter rainfall areas of Australia (WA,SA, Vic and NSW) in the 1970&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main emphasis was on the early adopters who are the unsung heroes of this great story. They comprise the majority of the 35 interviews completed over a two year period. Key multipliers,such as Brian Scarsbrick, and a few ICI personnel are also interviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interviews are whole of life, often 5 hours, but are topic indexed so that Direct Drilling can be easily accessed. The majority are open on line but a few are restricted so you will need to follow a procedure which is explained to access these ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to acknowledge the National Library of Australia Folklore and Oral History Branch for undertaking this project with great skill and enthusiasm; the two exceptional interviewers and generous sponsors Grain and Development Council (GRDC) and Syngenta. This funding enabled us to complete the project as a matter of urgency which was essential given the advanced age of most participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recordings can be accessed from the National Library of Australia <a href=\"https:\/\/nla.gov.au\/nla.cat-vn7131702\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Direct Drilling Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.infopest.com.au\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>InfoPest<\/strong><\/a><br>InfoPest, the comprehensive Agvet chemical database is now available free online. Previously produced by the Queensland Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI), Infopest is now owned and managed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.growcom.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Growcom<\/a>, a peak industry body in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iewf.org\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>International Environmental Weed Foundation<\/strong><\/a><br>Aims to provide&nbsp;education about the impacts of weeds on our natural environment, to restore degraded ecosystems, improve native habitat and improve the natural function of urban landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.northwestweeds.nsw.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>North West Weeds<\/strong><\/a><br>This website is designed to provide landholders and other land managers with basic information on identification and control of noxious and other environmentally undesirable weeds mainly found in inland eastern Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ngia.com.au\/MainMenu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Nursery &amp; Garden Industry Australia<\/strong><\/a><br>The peak industry body for the Australian nursery and garden industry and is responsible for overseeing the national development of this diverse and essential industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.invasivespecies.org.au\/traction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The Weeds Network<\/strong><\/a><br>The Weed&#8217;s Network has been designed to help stakeholders in natural resource management learn more about invasive plants and weed control systems. The key aim of the site is to foster ongoing agroecosystem viability and resilience in an environment of changing human priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weedbiocontrol.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>WeedBioControl<\/strong><\/a><br>Supplying agents for weeds including &nbsp;Patersons Curse, Bridal Creeper, St. John&#8217;s Wort, Blackberry, Docks, Thistles, Horehound, Prickly Pear &amp; Aquatic Weeds like Salvinia, Water Hyacinth, Alligator Weed &amp; others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pandora.nla.gov.au\/pan\/64168\/20080620-0000\/www.weeds.crc.org.au\/index_flash.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Weeds CRC archive<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weedsbluemountains.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Weeds of Blue Mountains Bushland<\/strong><\/a><br>This web site, and the free booklet on which it is based, will help you identify 30 common plants that have spread from our parks and gardens into our bushland, and it will enable you to understand the serious impact they are having on our fragile ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weedsmart.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>WeedSmart<\/strong><\/a><br>An initiative that promotes the long term sustainability of herbicide use in Australian agriculture.
